Best ONOMOGO Card Synergies & Build Ideas
Synergy in ONOMOGO is not a fixed deck list. It is the process of making later cards worth more because of what you picked earlier. The best build is usually the one your current run can actually support.

Speed Demon + Speed cards
Speed already improves access to future picks. Speed Demon adds an income reason to keep taking Speed, so a run that was previously about cooldown can become a combined cooldown-and-pickaxe engine. The cost is heat: more Speed can also increase hazards on future rows.
Converter + Multiply cards
Converter turns Multiply-tag investment into pickaxe income. This helps solve a common problem: a run with plenty of multiplier but not enough base income. Once Converter is active, the next Multiply card can improve two scoring layers instead of one.
Stacking + a Multiply-heavy route
Stacking rewards the number of Multiply cards in the run, including past and future picks. That means it can arrive after you have already committed to the tag and still recognise the existing build, while future Multiply picks continue increasing its value.
Chain Reaction and Diversity reward breadth
Not every synergy asks you to specialise. Chain Reaction rewards new tags as they first appear, while Diversity rewards collecting different tags. These cards create a reason to break a narrow combo route when a new tag adds enough long-term value.
Card Counter + Gamble
Card Counter converts Gamble-tag picks into multiplier. The important strategic shift is that a Gamble card is no longer judged only by its own uncertain or choice-based effect; it can also advance the wider engine.
Defrost + Freeze or Locks
Defrost pays +10 pickaxes per second per stack while Frozen or during a pickaxe lock. Absolute Zero freezes the clock and locks pickaxes, multiplier, and combo to 1, so Defrost still pays once through that window. The bonus does not stack when both conditions are active at once.
Expansion + extra boxes
Extra boxes increase option quality because you see more cards before committing to one. Expansion adds an income payoff to having more boxes, creating a second reason to value cards that widen the offer. Box penalties become more painful for the same reason.
Antidote + Poison
Antidote changes the risk profile of the next Poison card by shielding or mitigating its downside according to that Poison's rules. The best use is usually not to take any Poison automatically, but to wait for a Poison whose upside is unusually valuable to your current build.
Echo Chamber and an income spine
Echo Chamber adds 3% to the final score for each Boost and Engine card, counting picks you have already made and picks still to come. Lasting income such as Starter Motor, Bloom or Slow Burn, plus a few Boost bursts, gives that final layer more cards to count.
Line short multipliers up with bursts
Hot Streak (a 2 times multiplier for 10 seconds) and Power Surge (a 3 times multiplier for 5 seconds) multiply whatever income you already have during that window. They are stronger after the engine exists, and stronger still if a Boost such as Sugar Rush, Gold Rush or Windfall is earning at the same time.
Speed feeds cards that count picks
Bloom adds income for every later pick, Momentum adds multiplier for every pick, and Assembly Line adds income for every four picks. Speed cards, and re-picks such as Hustle, raise the number of picks those cards can see. The heat cost of extra Speed still applies at 70%, 80% and 90%.
